Chris Evans’ revamped ‘Top Gear’ has hit another roadblock, after it was revealed the new series will debut head-to-head against ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. The show had been scheduled to debut on May 8th, but was then pushed back to May 22nd, meaning it will clash with the first of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’s’ live semi-finals on ITV.
‘Top Gear’ could suffer from going head-to-head with ‘BGT’.
A source told The Mirror: “The BBC has pulled a sharp handbrake turn. 'Top Gear' is already under intense scrutiny and the last thing they need is to try and launch it against ITV’s most popular show.”
