Here's a fruity little wine inspired playlist to whet your appetite for this year's Beaujolais Nouveau.
As it's the third Thursday in November it's time to usher in this years batch of Beaujolais Nouveau so we here at Contact Music thought we'd put together a little wine inspired playlist for you by way of celebration. There were sadly a few songs that didn't make this year's cut before we went to press(!) including anything by Simply Red, Amy Winehouse or Black Grape. (Thankfully we've also spared you Mistletoe And Wine, maybe next year Cliff?)
UB40 - Red, Red Wine. No Beaujolais playlist would be complete without this sing-a-long staple from UB40. Although originally sung by Neil Diamond in 1967 the Birmingham band's take on the song is the one firmly entrenched in the minds of the general public, so that's the one we've gone with.

Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley are about to welcome a new son-in-law into the family as it's announced that their daughter Alexa Ray Joel is now engaged to her boyfriend of more than four years Ryan Gleason. What a way to kick off the New Year!
The 32-year-old singer is now sporting an enormous diamond ring after her restaurateur now-fiance Ryan proposed to her this week, and it certainly came as a huge surprise to her. They appeared to spending time on the beach when he popped the question.

Billy Joel is set to become a father for the third time at the age of 68 as he reveals that his wife Alexis Joel is due to give birth to their child in the coming weeks. It will be their second child together, after 2-year-old Della Rose.
The 'We Didn't Start the Fire' singer revealed that his fourth wife, 35-year-old equestrian Alexis, is pregnant with his third child (and their second child as a couple) and they are set to welcome their new bundle of joy next month.

Billy Joel To Be A Father For The Third Time

Billy Joel is expecting his third child, and his second with current wife Alexis Roderick, next month.
Pop legend Billy Joel has revealed that he’s to become a father for the third time, announcing that his fourth wife, Alexis Roderick, is seven months pregnant with their second baby together.
The 68 year old ‘Piano Man’ singer made the revelation during an interview with The Belfast Telegraph earlier this week, and said that they would be welcoming another baby in November.
“We are due next month,” Joel said, speaking apropos of a conversation about the couple’s two year old daughter Della Rose, whom they welcomed back in August 2015. About her, he said: “This one is pretty good. She sleeps through the night. I hope the next one will.”

Sir Paul McCartney was joined on stage by Billy Joel at his New York concert on Tuesday (26.09.17) and they performed two Beatles tracks together.
Sir Paul McCartney was joined on stage by Billy Joel at his New York concert.
The Beatles legend invited the 'Piano Man' hitmaker on stage at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale on Tuesday (26.09.17) to perform two classic tracks by his former band, 'Get Back', which is from the album 'Let It Be', and 'The White Album's 'Birthday'.
Billy played electric piano on the tracks, and Paul dedicated 'Birthday' to the entire audience.

The two came out during Joel’s encore and jumped on the piano during his rendition of ‘Uptown Girl’. The song is used throughout Schumer’s film Trainwreck so their appearance isn’t quite as random as it appears at first!

Della Rose is Joel's second daughter, and a step-sister for 29 year old Alexa Ray Joel.
At the age of 66, Billy Joel has become a father for a second time with the news that his wife Alexis Roderick has given birth to a baby girl. A representative confirmed to People magazine that Alexis delivered their daughter in the early hours of Wednesday (August 12th) in New York.
Named Della Rose, the baby weighed in at 7lbs. 6.5 oz. according to People. It’s the couple’s first child together, and Joel’s second. He’s already dad to singer-songwriter Alexa Ray Joel, his 29 year old daughter with former wife Christie Brinkley.

The couple surprised their guests by getting married during their annual Independence Day garden party.
Guests who attended Billy Joel’s traditional Fourth of July party got an additional treat – the singer got married to his girlfriend of six years Alexis Roderick at their estate in Long Island on Saturday!
The 66 year old musical legend and his 34 year old wife got hitched in a surprise ceremony, attended by friends and family including Joel’s ex-wife Christie Brinkley and their daughter Alexa Ray. The vows were presided over by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. This is Joel’s fourth marriage, and the news was confirmed to People later that day.

From Kendrick Lamar to Slayer, this year is definitely one of the best.
Bonnaroo is in full swing and while we've seen some pretty impressive acts so far, the musical forecast shows things are not going to get quieter anytime soon. One of America's biggest and most diverse summer events, fans flock in their thousands to Tennessee this weekend to welcome some of the world's top entertainers.
Friday's line-up is a particularly mixed bag; where you've got music veterans the likes of 80s new wave legends Tears For Fears and 70s R&B band Earth Wind & Fire, you also got newer names such as LA duo Mini Mansions, who recently won acclaim for their second album 'The Great Pretenders', and Brit award winning UK chart toppers Royal Blood. Making some noise on the main What Stage throughout though are house producer Deadmau5, 'To Pimp a Butterfly' rapper Kendrick Lamar and roots rock collective Alabama Shakes.

At the age of 65, Billy Joel is getting ready to become a father again.
A representative for the ‘Piano Man’ singer confirmed to People magazine that he and his girlfriend Alexis Roderick are expecting their first child together this summer.
A separate unnamed source stated – also to People – that the baby is a girl. He already has one daughter, 29 year old Alexa Ray, from his previous marriage to supermodel Christie Brinkley.
