Frank The Bastard Trailer

Clair Defina is in her early thirties with an affluent job as a writer in New York. However, her life is plagued by anxiety, suffering severe panic attacks wherever she goes. Clair grew up with her parents in a commune, before leaving with her father after her mother died in a fire. Her friend Isolda encourages Clair to return to the town of Edgeport, and she is immediately recognised by many who knew her parents. She decides to stick around for a while, intrigued by the mystery of the townsfolk, and takes up residence with her long lost Aunt Dora. It isn't long before she realises that there's something very wrong in this town, and everyone seems to be hiding a dark secret. With the help of Isolda, they set out to uncover the mystery, but meanwhile she is being closely watched by Frank - the bastard son of the face of Edgeport, Cyrus Gest - who appears to be the only one in the town she can trust, even if nobody else does.

Iron Man 3 Trailer

Stark is finally made to confront himself and his superhero identity as Mandarin sets out to prove there are no real heroes in the world.

The third instalment of this Marvel adventure, 'Iron Man 3' is set to be the most hard-hitting of the movies so far with questions being raised less about Iron Man and more about the true Tony Stark and his deeper abilities. It has been directed by Shane Black (the writer of the 'Lethal Weapon' film series) who also co-wrote the comic action flick with Drew Pearce ('Lip Service', 'No Heroics'). It is set for a spectacular release in cinemas on April 26th 2013 in the UK.

Man On A Ledge Review

There's so little to this film that you've almost forgotten everything about it by the time the closing credits start to roll. It's so easy to watch that you're lulled into thinking that it's quite good, even though it's not.

Ex-cop Nick (Worthington) is only a couple of years into an excessively long prison sentence for stealing a giant diamond from a ruthless jewel magnate (Harris). But he manages to escape, positioning himself on a 21st-floor ledge above a busy Manhattan street. As the crowd gathers and cops (Banks and Burns) come to talk him down, Nick's brother Joey (Bell) and his bendy girlfriend Angie (Rodriguez) are breaking into a nearby building. Basically, it's Nick's last-ditch effort to clear his name.

Freaked Review

Most stars spend the millions (or hundreds of thousands) they make on big budget films buying up real estate, new cars, fancy trophy spouses, designer luggage, and small, rodent-like dogs that don't really qualify as dogs but sadly think they do. (There is some innate "wolf-like" attitude in even the slightest of Chihuahuas, it's the glint of their teeth extended over tiny lips, the snarl; little dogs still have that "wild hunt" bred deep within them. This all seems very tangential but so is Freaked. I'm making a point here.) Alex Winter, hot off the success of the Bill and Ted films, decided to take his money and invest it in an off-the-wall comedy about circus freaks and hideous mutants. Makes sense, right?Thing is, Winter had a great intuition unfortunately neither Hollywood nor the public was in a like mind. Freaked floundered and sank and now, after years of rumors, the gimp is back out of the trunk. And it's a groovy thing.

Kinsey Review

Writer-director Bill Condon has a talent for hitting just the right tone in his work. Whether he's paying stylistic homage to "Bride of Frankenstein" creator James Whale in "Gods and Monsters" or writing a screenplay for "Chicago" that re-envisioned the Broadway musical as a wannabe showgirl's uniquely cinematic daydream, Condon always finds a way to seamlessly marry the crux of his story to the strengths of his medium.

In "Kinsey," he legitimizes and revitalizes a rather tiresome narrative gimmick -- on-camera interviews with the characters. For a biopic about legendary sex researcher Alfred Kinsey, there could be no more apropos structure for the story. Kinsey himself interviewed thousands of Americans about their bedroom predilections in the 1940s and '50s to compile his groundbreaking, rather comprehensive and certainly controversial studies on the subject. So Condon opens the film in kind -- with a simple, head-on, black-and-white image of the bluntly matter-of-fact and obliviously awkward Professor Kinsey (Liam Neeson) being quizzed about his own background and sexual experience.

Composing the film around Kinsey's answers, Condon cues flashbacks of an upbringing under the fire-and-brimstone hand of a preacher father (John Lithgow), introduces the equally clinical-yet-passionate student who becomes his wife (Laura Linney), touches on the man's own pseudo-scientific dalliances and their promiscuous effect on his marriage, and sets the stage for the studies that helped launch the sexual revolution.

The Green Mile Review

"The Green Mile" begins with a little deja vu. Like Tom Hanks' last mid-Century, Oscar-baiting drama, "Saving Private Ryan," it's bookended by a modern framework that finds an old man reluctantly reminiscing about a difficult year of his life, more than half a century ago.

Because of the familiar faces and the similar prestige posturing, this platitudinous structure invites a little eye-rolling as Dabbs Greer (Reverend Alden on "Little House On the Prairie"), playing the aged Hanks, begins to spin what becomes an engrossing three-hour yarn about a year of extraordinary horrors and miracles on death row in a Louisiana state penitentiary.

Hanks plays prison guard Paul Edgecomb, an unjaded joe in charge of death row who treats people on both sides of the bars with humanity and civility. Set in 1935, the central story opens with the arrival of a kindly colossus of a condemned killer named John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan).
