The British presenter is nearly two months into his 'Late Late Show' career, and has been bowled over by how well it has gone down with US audiences.
Two months or so into his new career as an American talk show host, James Corden has been talking about settling into the job, coping with the transatlantic move and the reaction to his show, which has been very popular so far.
36 year old Corden made his debut as host of ‘The Late Late Show’ on CBS at the end of March after replacing the retiring Craig Ferguson, and quickly won plaudits for his warm, friendly presenting style. Speaking with Heat magazine, he said he was “gobsmacked” by the response from audiences.

Katie Couric just pranked James Corden so hard you almost felt sorry for the 'Late Late Show' host.
You couldn’t trust anybody yesterday, in real life or online, as the constant worry of being the victim of an April Fools Day prank weighed heavy on all of us. But by the time James Corden got around to filming the ‘Late Late Show’ on Wednesday evening, he must have thought the time for pranking had long past. But little did he know guest Katie Couric had one epic prank up her sleeve.
As Corden welcomed Couric to the stage the Yahoo Global News Anchor appeared at the top of the stairs but seemed to be having a problem with her shoe. As she took her first step, Couric immediately appeared to tumble right down the stairs leaving the audience in stunned silence.

Katie Couric Is Not Set For A Return To NBC

The 58-year-old news anchor will not heading back to the television news network where she previously worked from 1989 until 2006.
In the midst of ongoing rumours that claim Katie Couric is set for a return back to NBC, where she worked from 1989 until 2006, there has now been confirmation that the former 'Today' show host is not heading back to the network.
It was heavily reported that Couric was eyeing a return to NBC after her former boss and mentor Andrew Lack, who helped her become a TV star on 'Today', was rehired as the chairman of NBC News and MSNBC, which he previously ran for eight years until 2001.

Sofia Vergara Responds To Emmy Awards Pedestal "Sexist" Criticism

Sofia Vergara has brushed off criticism about a "sexist" and "offensive" stunt at the Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday (25th August). She was filmed standing on a podium which has led many to claim she was promoting the objectification of women. However, Vergara believes her pedestal appearance was quite the opposite.
Nothing ever seems to get Sofia Vergara down, and really why would it? She decided her boyfriend was "too hot" to escort her to the Primetime Emmy Awards; Modern Family in which she stars received yet another Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series; and she appears to have had an incredible time at the after parties. So when a number of commentators claimed her stunt at the Emmys was "sexist" and "offensive", Vergara brushed the criticism off with her usual confidence.
"Simply put, Stand Up To Cancer's goal is to end cancer's reign as a leading cause of death by raising funds to accelerate research that will help transform cancer from a disease that takes far too many lives to one people survive" states the Stand Up To Cancer website. In a bid to remind people that one out of every two men and one out of every three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, the campaign has been running since 2008 with various famous faces offering their own experiences of the disease and support of the cause.

Of course thanks to her lengthily broadcasting career, Katie’s one of the most famous women in America, but her new husband John may have to start getting used to the limelight. He may have made headline news this weekend after marrying ‘America’s sweetheart’, but little is known about the new Mr Katie Couric. The big three; Amazon, Yahoo and Netflix, are in fierce competition to outdo each other in the race for top steaming service.
So, in streaming news this week there’s been a whole lot going on! It's essentially been streaming wars between the three major players. Netflix may end up having to surrender its crown as everyones favourite streaming service, now that both Amazon Prime and Yahoo are both hot on its heels.
Amazon Prime has recently come to an agreement with HBO, making HBO shows including The Sopranos and The Wire available to stream for US customers. The licensing agreement means that Amazon Prime customers will be able to stream previous seasons of popular shows such as Veep and Girls three years after their original airing. The service will become available from from 21 May and will allow users unlimited access to shows.
