Gold is more than a valuable commodity for Kenny Wells, to him it's an obsession. The year is 1988 and Wells lives in Reno with his partner, Kay. The balding, fast-aging man is constantly down on his luck and often resorts to pawning his partner's possessions just to get hold of a little money.
The wannabe businessman attempts to start many new ventures but constantly finds himself being turned away. One day Wells awakes from his slumber and recalls a vivid dream telling him to go find Gold in unchartered territory. Kenny has little knowledge of how to make it work but knows that this is the big break he's been waiting for.
Teaming up with geologist Michael Acosta, Wells tells Acosta about the land he feels is rich with unmined gold reserves in Indonesia. Talking Acosta into the project, they begin their ambitious dig with basic supplies and minimal investment. As their workers begin to see that their efforts are not garnering any results they begin to leave and everything looks like it's going against the Americans.

‘Jessica Jones’ will be released in November on Netflix.
Jessica Jones, a lesser known Marvel superhero, is heading to Netflix. A show centering entirely on Jones will premiere on Netflix in November. The streaming service made the announcement on Thursday (10th September).

The Loft Trailer
Five married friends decide to buy a loft together, and each owned a key, but no one else did. The men use the loft as a place to have affairs with their various mistresses. But one day, one of the men goes to the loft, only to discover an unknown woman dead in the master bed. When all the members are assembles, they realise that they have to call the police - thus exposing their secret of their loft to their wives. But with their other halves now knowing about their dirty little secrets, the men are forced to look into their past to find out just who killed the mysterious woman.

Red Dog Review

Excellent
Shamelessly enjoyable, this raucous Aussie movie keeps us laughing - and ultimately sniffling back the tears - as it recounts an urban myth. A terrific sense of the time and place, rambunctious characters and a terrific starring dog make it well worth seeing.
Red Dog is the most famous resident of Dampier, northwest Australia. Through the 1970s, he unified the mining community as a communal pet, then he adopted a master in John (Lucas). He eventually accepts John's girlfriend Nancy (Rachael Taylor) as part of the pack, which includes the local barman (Noah Taylor) and a lively collection of miners (Angel, Batchelor, Nichol and others). He also has a rivalry with the fiendish Red Cat. And after John disappears, he roams the length and breadth of western Australia looking for him.

The Darkest Hour Review

An intriguing idea and inventive visual approach is let down by a script that runs out out of steam before it ever reaches full speed. There simply isn't enough to the characters or plot to hold our interest.
Sean (Hirsch) has accompanied his pal Ben (Minghella) to Moscow for a work pitch that immediately goes awry. Drowning their sorrows in a hip bar, they meet hot tourists Natalie and Anne (Thirlby and Taylor). But a citywide blackout signals the arrival of alien creatures that aren't much more than pulses of light and energy. And they're intent on obliterating humans. So these four young people start an odyssey of survival, meeting a variety of colourful characters along the way.
