Aerosmith 'played a one-song set'
Now it is the myth that the rock band Aerosmith did a concert where they only played one song.
The untrue story is that the group - formed of Steven Tyler, 77, (lead vocalist), Tom Hamilton, 73, (bassist), Joey Kramer, 74, (drummer), and Joe Perry, 74, and Brad Whitford, 73, (both guitarists) - wanted to play their setlist backwards at a gig and then they forgot they did that and left the stage after the first song in reverse order.
And Perry said the rumour was false.
He said: "It's a great story, and it never goes away.
"Unfortunately, it's not true. We've done some dumb things onstage, but nothing as dumb as that."
Despite the myth of them forgetting the rest of their setlist after starting with the last song, Aerosmith once played the same song twice at a gig.
Perry added: "Having said that, there was one occasion when we played the same song twice [in the same show] because we'd forgotten we'd already played it. "
