Elvis Presley 'is alive'

At number four is a myth that still flies around today - Elvis Presley is alive.

The legendary singer-and-actor died at the age of 42 in 1977 in his beloved Graceland mansion in Memphis, Tennessee, USA.

His cause of death was cited as cardiac arrhythmia, an erratic heartbeat, and severe cardiovascular disease.

The world was plunged into morning when Elvis passed, but some of his die-hard fans are convinced he is still alive.

A popular myth is that Elvis is 'in' Chris Columbus' 1990 family-comedy Christmas flick 'Home Alone'.

In the scene where Kevin McCallister's (Macaulay Culkin) mum Kate McCallister (Catherine O'Hara) vented her anger at an airport employee who could not get her home to her left-behind son, there is a bearded extra in the queue behind Kate who gained worldwide attention.

Conspiracy theorists declared this extra was Elvis because of his strong resemblance.
