Michael Jackson 'owned the Elephant Man's bones'

First up is the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

People speculated in the 80s that the 'Beat It' hitmaker, who died in June 2009 at the age of 50, bought some of Joseph Merrick's bones.

Joseph was an artist who had severe deformities, which caused people to call him the Elephant Man.

He died of a of a dislocated neck at the age of 27 in April 1890.

According to Far Out Magazine, a World War 2 air raid on the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel destroyed some of Joseph's remains.

The bits that did get saved have never been up for sale.
