Viral Take That documentary fan joins Robbie Williams on stage in Wolverhampton
A Robbie Williams superfan who went viral in the Take That documentary joined the singer on stage at his concert this week.
A Robbie Williams superfan who went viral after appearing in Netflix’s recent Take That documentary reunited with the singer on stage in Wolverhampton on Monday night (09.02.26).
Jemma Williamson — now a nursery teacher based in Wolverhampton — first became known more than 30 years ago when she was filmed outside a Take That signing event in Chester.
Aged 14 at the time, she had travelled from the Wirral hoping to meet Williams but was unable to gain entry to the venue. Instead, she stayed outside and delivered an enthusiastic message to camera, urging the pop star to call her. The clip resurfaced in the Netflix documentary and quickly went viral across social media.
During Robbie’s show at The Halls in Wolverhampton this week, the singer surprised fans by inviting Williamson on stage to recreate the moment that made her a fan favourite.
Introducing her to the audience, he said: “Please welcome Jemma from the Take That documentary.”
Standing beside him in front of hundreds of fans, Williamson repeated her now‑famous line: “Robbie’s my favourite because he’s got gorgeous eyes and a gorgeous body and he can call me any time.”
Robbie then jokingly asked whether she had received any calls after the documentary aired, prompting Williamson to reveal that the number she had given in the 1990s no longer worked.
The crowd erupted in cheers as the Angels singer, 51, hugged her before she returned to her seat.
The original documentary clip gained more than 107,000 likes on Instagram after Robbie attempted to ring the decades‑old number while watching the series, sparking a wave of nostalgia among fans.
Reflecting on the renewed attention, Williamson said: “I think it’s brought back a bit of nostalgia for everybody.”
