Miley Cyrus announces Hannah Montana song Younger You to celebrate 20th anniversary special
Miley Cyrus is continuing the 20th anniversary celebrations for Hannah Montana with a new track dropping this week.
Miley Cyrus is marking the 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana with a brand‑new song, Younger You, taken from her Disney+ celebration special.
Miley, now 33, is honouring two decades since the Disney Channel series first launched her career by releasing a new track tied to The Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, arriving this Friday (27.03.26).
Reflecting on the milestone, she told fans on Instagram that revisiting the character has been an emotional full‑circle moment.
She wrote: “Celebrating Hannah Montana isn’t just honouring a show, it’s a full‑circle moment for me."
Miley described the anniversary project as a “gift” to her younger self and thanked fans for growing with her over the years.
During the special, Miley performs classics from the series — including The Climb and Best of Both Worlds — on a recreated version of the original set. She also reunites with her parents, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus, and sits down for an interview with Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper.
Miley played the title role from 2006 to 2011 and admitted she loved diving back into that era.
Speaking to Extra, she said the project is “pure joy, excitement and celebration."
Although she was instrumental in convincing Disney to make the anniversary special, Miley is keeping quiet about whether a reboot could follow.
Asked about the possibility, she simply teased: “We’ll see what happens in the future,” later joking to Variety: “Girl, I’m already tired! This has already been a lot.”
