Katy Perry has ditched nicotine - revealing she has been free of the stimulant for two months.

The 41-year-old pop star is done with nicotine - which is most commonly found in cigarettes, cigars and vapes - and has decided to live a "more organic" lifestyle.

Katy took to her Instagram Stories to tell her 201 million followers that she "quit all nicotine 2 months ago highly rec this more organic energy alt (sic)". She also shared a photo of a box of Neuro’s “Energy and Focus gum” in peppermint.

The Roar hitmaker did not say what nicotine products she used before quitting, but she has been open about her struggle with smoking in the past.

When pregnant with her now five-year-old daughter Daisy - whose father is British actor Orlando Bloom - Katy ditched the cigarettes and stopped drinking and the impact it had on her wellbeing was immeasurable.

Appearing on the Fifi, Fev and Byron Show on Australian radio in 2020, she said: "When you stop drinking and smoking and start creating a baby, it’s like your whole body is like, 'Well, thanks for treating me nice for one day.'

During her relationship with then fiancé Orlando, 49, the couple formed a pact to stay sober together.

Speaking to People in 2023, Katy - who split from Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando in 2025 - explained her reasoning behind sobriety, stating: “I’ve had a pretty good relationship with just finding balance.

"For me, it was an opportunity to reset. We reset after President's Day, and it was a great opportunity to just let my body bounce back a little bit.”

Perry is now dating former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and although she has ditched nicotine she does still drink alcohol admitting "on the weekend I’ll indulge a little bit".

The I Kissed A Girl singer recently completed her Lifetimes Tour, which came to arenas across Britain last October, but she is returning to the UK this summer and is set to headline Blenheim Palace Festival as well as playing a concert at Cardiff Castle this summer.
