SEVENTEEN's latest subunit revealed
SEVENTEEN has yet another subunit, this time comprising Vernon and The8.
Vernon and The8 of SEVENTEEN are set to launch a brand‑new subunit this summer, with Pledis Entertainment confirming the pair are working on a joint album scheduled for release in June.
The project marks the first time the two members have formally teamed up as a unit, however, The pair previously collaborated when Vernon co‑wrote and co‑composed Orbit, the lead track from The8's 2024 LP Stardust.
Vernon, one of SEVENTEEN’s rappers, has been a core creative force within the group since their 2015 debut, contributing regularly to songwriting and production.
Their upcoming release will establish them as SEVENTEEN’s sixth official subunit, joining a growing list of duos and trios formed as members begin their mandatory military service.
Recent unit projects include JxW (Jeonghan and Wonwoo), HxW (Hoshi and Woozi), CxM (S.Coups and Mingyu), DxS (DK and Seungkwan) and the long‑running trio BSS (DK, Hoshi and Seungkwan)
SEVENTEEN are currently in the middle of their New_ World Tour.
