Rauw Alejandro has released Cosa Nuestra: Capítulo 0.

Serving as a prequel to his hugely successful 2024 LP Cosa Nuestra, the Puerto Rican star kicks off a fresh chapter with a release deeply inspired by Caribbean rhythms, evident on tracks like Caribeño, featuring Saso, Callejón de los Secretos, and the bachata Silencio.

Rauw is now embracing his roots even more, leaving behind the 60s/70s New York inspirations that permeated Cosa Nuestra.

As well as Saso, the record features collaborations with Jey One, Wisin, Ñengo Flow, De La Rose, and Ayra Starr.

On a break from his theatrical Cosa Nuestra Tour, the star has recently opened up about experiencing an anxiety attack for the first time during one of his live performances. He revealed the incident happened earlier this year during the US leg of the tour.

In a candid conversation with Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1, the Santa hitmaker shared: “This year, I was able to experience an anxiety attack while I was performing. It’s tough, it happened with me for the first time.”

Rauw admitted that an exhausting schedule of back-to-back concerts, poor sleep, and heavy caffeine consumption before performing contributed to the episode.

He said: “It was a total shutdown to my body. I was dancing and singing… and I could see myself performing. It was crazy.”

Rauw continued: “You learn you’re not a superhuman or a robot, you have to respect your sleep. Sleeping eight hours has helped me a lot.

“Nowadays, I work differently. Because you start learning how your body works.

"Also, I’m still young, I'm 32, but t's not the same when I was like 23 or 24. Your body changes.”

Following a triumphant European run that included his London debut at The O2 arena, he will continue the theatrical tour across Latin America in October and November. The leg includes stops in São Paulo, Buenos Aires and Bogotá.

Even though he has achieved a remarkable career and is a bona fide reggaeton icon, Rauw revealed he has aspirations further a field.

He said: “I want to jump into acting, filming, directing and writing. There's so much to explore.”
