Beyoncé adds new dates to Cowboy Carter Tour due to phenomenal demand
The 'Cowboy Carter Tour' just grew by an additional five nights.
Beyoncé has added five additional dates to her 'Cowboy Carter Tour'.
Due to “incredible fan responses from [the] BeyHive and the artist presale signup”, the Grammy winner has announced two more concerts at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, with the star now set to play six nights at the Premier League football team's ground on June 5, 6, 10, 12, 14 and 16.
The 'Break My Soul' hitmaker has also added a third night in Chicago on May 18, as well as Paris on June 22, and Atlanta on July 13.
There will be multiple pre-sales ahead of the general on-sale. The general on-sale will take place Friday, February 14 at 12pm local time (2pm local for the newly added London shows) at beyonce.com.
‘Cowboy Carter’ was crowned Album of the Year at this month's Grammy Awards.
Beyoncé said upon collecting the prize in Los Angeles on February 2: “I just feel very full and very honoured. It’s been many, many years and I just want to thank the Grammys, every songwriter, every collaborator, every producer, all the hard work.”
The 'Texas Hold 'Em' hitmaker ended her short speech with a dedication to Linda Martell, a Black trailblazer in country music.
She added: "I want to dedicate this to Miss Martell, and I’ll just hopefully keep pushing forward, opening doors. God Bless y'all."
The award was handed out by dozens of Los Angeles firefighters, who received the biggest standing ovation of the night at the Crypto.com Arena, amid the California wildfires.
Beyoncé had seemingly delayed her tour announcement in light of the devastating disaster.
She had told fans: "The Jan. 14 announcement will be postponed to a later date due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires around areas of Los Angeles. I continue to pray for healing and rebuilding for the families suffering from trauma and loss. We are so blessed to have brave first responders who continue to work tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community. To join our efforts in supporting those impacted, please visit @BeyGOOD.
