Ghost cancelled their first of three Mexico City concerts on Tuesday (23.09.25) after frontman Tobias Forge got food poisoning.

The Swedish rockers insisted it was "impossible" for them to perform and offered refunds to ticket holders.

The band also confirmed they will return to the Palacio de los Departes as planned tonight (24.09.25) and Thursday (25.09.25).

A statement regarding the last-minute cancellation read: “It is with deep regret that we must inform you the Ghost show tonight, September 23, has been cancelled.

“Tobias Forge is suffering from food poisoning, which makes it impossible for the band to perform. The concerts scheduled for September 24 and 25 will take place as planned.

“If you purchased your tickets online, your refund will be automatically processed to the card used for the purchase, according to the timelines set by your banking institution.

“If you purchased your tickets at Ticketmaster outlets, you may request your refund starting on September 26 at the same location where you made your purchase.”

Thursday's show marks the conclusion of the band's Skeletour tour, a phone-free trek in support of their album Skeletá.

Ghost had a creepy mariachi band perform on a boat to promote the concerts in Mexico City.
