Evanescence have returned with a new single, Who Will You Follow, the first preview of their forthcoming album Sanctuary, which arrives on June 5.

The track was co‑written and produced by alternative producer Zakk Cervini and former Bring Me The Horizon member Jordan Fish, with additional album contributions from producer Nick Raskulinecz.

Sanctuary will be released digitally and on standard and deluxe CD formats, with a limited‑edition box set also available. A double vinyl edition is scheduled for September 4.

Frontwoman Amy Lee said the album has been more than three years in the making and described the process as a creative outlet during a challenging period.

She said: “This album is over three years in the making, and finally listening back to it all at once, about to release it to the world, I am so damn proud of every second of it.

"It’s overwhelming.

"Working on it has been my outlet for so much that feels wrong and out of control, and a place to ignite hope through the power of music and connection … good thing we have the tour all lined up or I wouldn’t know what to do with myself now! I’ve been completely obsessed.

"I’m dying for the fans to hear this.”

The band have also announced a 2026 world tour beginning on June 11, covering North America, the UK and Europe.

Spiritbox and Nova Twins will join the North American dates, while Poppy will support the UK and European shows, with Nova Twins opening outside the UK.

K.Flay, who appears on the band’s recent single Fight Like A Girl, will support the UK dates and the group’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre performance.

Evanescence have partnered with PLUS1 so that a portion of each ticket sold will support organisations providing humanitarian and medical aid worldwide.

The band’s recent singles Fight Like A Girl and Afterlife have both been well received, with Afterlife reaching No.1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart and Mediabase’s Active Rock Radio chart in the US and Canada.
