Celine Dion 'tipped' for 2027 Glastonbury Legends slot
New betting odds suggest Celine Dion could be in line for a major Glastonbury moment in 2027.
Celine Dion has unexpectedly surged into the Glastonbury conversation after new betting odds placed her as a strong contender for the festival’s coveted Legends slot.
According to figures shared with Metro, betting agent Paddy Power currently lists the superstar at 9/4 to take the Sunday afternoon spotlight, while also offering 10/1 odds on her headlining the Pyramid Stage in 2027.
A Paddy Power spokesperson told Metro: "It might be time to pack the wellies and the tissues for Glasto as there might not be a dry eye in the field if Celine Dion takes to the stage at Worthy Farm.
"Our number crunchers think there’s a real chance she makes an appearance in the legends shot after pricing her up at a skinny 9/4."
The buzz comes after the Think Twice hitmaker confirmed her return to the stage with a residency in Paris - marking her first live shows since 2022.
Dion, who last performed in the French capital for the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony, will play a series of concerts at the 40,000-capacity Paris La Défense Arena between September 12 to October 14.
The run will mark her first since being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome - a rare autoimmune neurological disorder that causes progressive muscle stiffness and painful spasms - four years ago.
After years of battling health challenges, Dion says the love and support she’s received from her devoted fans has carried her through — and now she’s "stronger" and ready to return to the stage.
Taking to Instagram on her 58th birthday (30.03.26), Dion said in a video: “Over the last few years, every day that’s gone by, I’ve felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love. You’ve helped me in ways that I can’t even describe, and I’m truly fortunate to have your support.
“This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life – I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September!
“I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited – obviously a little nervous – but most of all, I’m grateful to all of you! I love you all and I’ll see you soon!”
Meanwhile, alongside Dion’s newly boosted odds, several other major artists are in the mix for future Glastonbury headline slots.
Harry Styles currently leads the pack at 7/4, followed by Sam Fender and Oasis at 3/1, while Fontaines D.C. sit at 10/3. Beyoncé and Taylor Swift are both priced at 7/2, with Rihanna close behind at 4/1.
Further down the list, Lady Gaga, Foo Fighters and Chapel Roan all sit at 9/2, with RAYE, Sabrina Carpenter, Miley Cyrus, Wolf Alice, Eminem and Fred Again.. each at 5/1. Coldplay follow at 11/2, while Madonna is at 6/1. Green Day and Red Hot Chili Peppers are both 7/1, with Muse, Radiohead and Arctic Monkeys rounding out the pack at 8/1.
