Oasis' 2000 album Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants getting 25th anniversary reissue
Oasis fans can get their hands on a limited-edition 25th anniversary vinyl reissue of 'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants'.

Oasis have announced a 25th-anniversary reissue of their fourth studio album, 'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants'.
The 2000 record - which featured tracks such as 'Go Let It Out', 'Who Feels Love?' and 'Gas Panic!' - was the first to be released on Oasis' own label, Big Brother Recordings, after the closure of UK label Creation Records.
On February 28, the same date it was originally released, a limited-edition silver LP and official store exclusive blue and purple marble LP will be released.
To coincide with the announcement, a new lyric video for 'Go Let It Out', which was released 25 years ago today (07.02.25), has been released on Oasis' official YouTube channel.
Frontman Liam Gallagher, guitarist Noel Gallagher and drummer Alan White recorded the record after the departure of founding members Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs and Paul 'Guigsy' McGuigan in 1999.
The ‘Wonderwall’ hitmakers later embarked on a tour in support of the album with new members [guitarist] Gem Archer and [bassist] Andy Bell.
The Britpop legends adopted a psychedelic-rock sound for ‘Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants’, marking a move away from the era-defining sounds of 1994's 'Definitely Maybe', 1995's '(What's the Story?) Morning Glory' and 1997's 'Be Here Now'.
The opening instrumental track 'F***in’ In The Bushes', which features a sample from Murray Lerner’s 'Message To Love Isle Wight 1970' film, is still used by Liam as his intro song at his solo concerts.
The album also features Liam's first songwriting credit for Oasis on the track 'Little James', which he penned for his former stepson James Kerr - the son of Liam's ex-wife Patsy Kensit and Simple Minds singer Jim Kerr.
The record topped the charts in the UK and sold an impressive 310,000 copies in the country alone in its first week and has since been certified double platinum.
