In a week overshadowed by the death of Peaches Geldof, Mickey Rooney & Ultimate Warrior, we sought solace in action movies and rock music.
"#RIPPeaches": So went the hashtag that thousands of Twitter users used to pay tribute to the late Peaches Geldof, who was found dead in her Kent home on Monday with her baby son playing nearby. It's still not known how the 25 year-old mother-of-two suddenly passed away but her distraught family, including father Bob Geldof, have been given the body to plan a funeral whilst the toxicology test results come back. The Boomtown Rats star also lead the tributes to his "beautiful" daughter - read here. Peaches Geldof: 1989 - 2014.
Farewell Mickey Rooney: Screen legend and former child star Mickey Rooney passed away last Sunday at home in California after a long illness. Known for his unforgettable roles in Night at the Museum, Breakfast at Tiffany's and National Velvet, the 93 year-old was still making plans to appear in more movies and lived up to his positive "Don't retire - inspire" mantra. An ugly dispute over Rooney's burial and will has erupted since the death but will hopefully soon be calmed so that Hollywood can honour one of its most prolific figures. Read our obituary here. Mickey Rooney: 1920 - 2014.

Hall and Oates, Cat Stevens and Linda Ronstadt will also be honoured, with the E Street Band, Brian Epstein and Andrew Loog Oldham will receive special awards
The inductees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's class of 2014 have been chosen, with Nirvana, Kiss, Peter Gabriel, Hall And Oates, Cat Stevens and Linda Ronstadt all being honoured in the latest induction. Nirvana have been honoured at the first time of asking
For Nirvana, their induction comes at the first time of asking, with the band only becoming eligible for induction this year. According to the rules of the Hall of Fame, an artist only becomes eligible for recognition 25 years after the release of their first album or single. For Nirvana, their first single came in 1988 with the release of 'Love Buzz,' with their induction coming as "no surprise" to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame President and CEO Joel Peresman or many other people for that matter.

Storm Thorgerson's artwork will live on in rock history.
Storm Thorgerson, the artist who famously designed the cover art for Pink Floyd's classic album 'The Dark Side of the Moon,' has died aged 69, the band's management confirmed to the BBC. A childhood friend of the rockers, Thorgerson became their designer-in-chief and fashioned a string of eye-catching creations.
The Unmistakable Cover For Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' [L] and Peter Gabriel's 'Scratch' [R]
In a statement, Pink Floyd guitarist and vocalist Dave Gilmour said, "We first met in our early teens. We would gather at Sheep's Green, a spot by the river in Cambridge and Storm would always be there holding forth, making the most noise, bursting with ideas and enthusiasm. Nothing has ever really changed," adding, "He has been a constant force in my life, both at work and in private, a shoulder to cry on and a great friend. I will miss him."

In 1985, Simon quietly travelled to South Africa to record tracks for his next album, invited by local musicians. But he and was shocked by racial tension he saw between blacks and whites there, and afterwards was caught off-guard by criticism from anti-Apartheid leaders who said his visit violated the boycott.
Simon argued that he wanted to avoid politics and collaborate with fellow musicians. For them, working with a world-class artist was a chance in a million. And Ladysmith Black Mambazo leader Shabalala says Simon was the first white man he'd ever hugged.

Not one to let convention get in his way Peter Gabriel returns with his ninth solo offering, a covers album featuring only his own songs. On New Blood, Gabriel reinvents a host of earlier recordings in full cinematic, orchestral grandeur. Void of any obvious choices, there's no 'Sledge Hammer' for example, but there is passion and bravado by the bucket-load. On 2010's Scratch My Back Gabriel revisited some of his favourite tracks with a symphonic emphasis and other than showing that Gabriel has a very reassuring taste in contemporary music, containing covers of the likes of Bon Iver and Arcade Fire, it portrayed a delightful blend of audacity and emotion in true operatic style.

Sadly, producer, director, and "experiencer" Arquette did exactly one thing well: the title. All We Are Saying is appropriately a dull, bloated gab marathon. And since she didn't clear the featured artists' music for the movie, it's all talk, no song, not even a few bars from a stage performance. Imagine The Aristocrats without the joke, stretched out over 105 minutes.
