On a night when barely anything was normal at the 63rd Grammy Awards, history was made as Beyoncé  not only won four awards but also became the most decorated female artist of all time with a collective 28 awards. Beyoncé  was reported to be a no show prior to the awards, much to the dismay of the organisers who had ideally wanted her to perform. However, as the evening got underway and the TV cameras panned across the room, it was something of a surprise to see both Beyoncé and Jay-Z seated at one of the socially distanced tables. Beyoncé was the big news, and the big winner on the night; her fourth award meant that she surpassed the total number of awards by a female artist, an honour previously held by Country singer Alison Krauss with 27. One of the biggest losers on the night, no doubt to the horror of Sir Elton John, was Phoebe Bridgers. Phoebe was up for four awards including Best New Artist and Best Rock Song, sadly she didn't win in any category. Elton, talking to Phoebe Bridgers on his Apple Music 1 'Rocket Hour' show ahead of the Grammy's, had said "If you don’t win at least one, I’m going to hit someone, OK?" We are yet to see whether he has! For now let's see who won what.

Beyonce has announced a TV special giving fans an inside look at the making of her 'The Lion King: The Gift' album.

The 38-year-old superstar - who voiced Nala in this year's 'The Lion King' remake - released the LP inspired by the Disney movie, which features collaborations with the likes of husband Jay-Z, their seven-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Pharrell and more, in July, and now the documentary 'Making The Gift' will air on ABC at 10pm on tonight (16.09.19) and reveal ''Beyoncé's creative process''.

Alongside a teaser for the show, Beyonce wrote on Instagram: ''ABC Network. 10pm.''

The friendship between rappers Jay Z and Kanye West has reportedly been in turmoil for a number of years but Ye may have just made it worse after he announced he would be suing Hova’s former label and the recording company that gave him his first deal.

Beyoncé's father and Destiny's Child manager, Mathew Knowles, has revealed the girls 'did not leave our eyes' when they were around controversial singer R. Kelly. In the wake of new scrutiny about the 1990s star following a recent Lifetime documentary, Knowles has also revealed he passed on a collaboration with the group at the Bump N' Grind singer.

Speaking to metro.co.uk, the 67-year-old said when Destiny's Child first met with Kelly, they were around 15 and 16-years-old.

The cultural clout of Beyonce and Jay Z extends well beyond the world of music, with French art gallery The Louvre crediting the couple with its best-ever year for visitor levels in 2018.

Last year, the world’s most visited museum in Paris broke all ticket office records, with more than 10 million people viewing its collection of fine arts and antiquities. The 10.2 million people who came to the museum in 2018 marked a 25% rise, beating its previous record of 9.7 million visitors in 2012. It’s the highest number for a museum of its kind, more than the National Museum of China and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The record numbers are being credited in part to international tourists returning to Paris, after large numbers stayed away in the years after the November 2015 Paris terrorist attacks. Foreigners made up almost three-quarters of visitors to the Louvre.

The powerful double act have written an introduction for Marco Borges' (Beyoncé's trainer) new book, The Greenprint: Plant-Based Diet, Best Body, Better World and, in it, they're challenging their fans to cut out any and all meals centred around animals.

In response to the backlash his dress sense caused this week regarding his duet with Beyonce, Ed Sheeran is owning his sartorial choices with a brilliant riposte.

Last weekend, Sheeran performed with Beyonce at the Global Citizen Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa. Bey, as is to be expected, chose a glamorous and eye-catching outfit for the performance of their duet ‘Perfect’ – but Sheeran looked like he’d just thrown together his outfit at the last minute.

It can’t have been entirely surprising, as Sheeran’s jeans, checked shirt and scruffy undershirt look is one that’s been his trademark throughout his eight-year career, but many objected to the total disconnect between Bey and Ed’s outfits and argued that it was reflective of double standards expected of male and female artists.

Beyonce has moved to cut ties with embattled British businessman Philip Green, who is fighting allegations of workplace harassment and bullying, by buying out his share in her clothing label Ivy Park.

The pop superstar launched the Ivy Park range with Green’s Arcadia Group back in 2016, having announced their intention to collaborate two years before that on new athletic sportswear brand. Now, however, she’s bought back Green’s 50% share of the brand.

Topshop, which Green’s company owns, will therefore stop stocking the range of tops, sports bras and leggings with immediate effect.
