Gavin Arvizo Case and Trial (2003-2005)

After being shown holding hands with 13-year-old cancer survivor Gavin Arvizo and defending sharing his bed with children at his Neverland property in the 2003 TV documentary Living with Michael Jackson, the Thriller singer was charged with molesting the boy.

Following a high-profile California trial that saw Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin and comedian Chris Tucker appear as defence witnesses, Jackson was acquitted on all charges in June 2005.

Jackson never returned to his Neverland home following the trial and spent several months living in Bahrain and Ireland afterwards in a bid to escape scrutiny.
