Cyndi Lauper brings out special guest Boy George at The O2
'80s pop icon Cyndi Lauper brought her farewell tour to The O2 this week, here's what went down...

Cyndi Lauper's dazzling show at The O2 featured a special appearance from none other than Boy George.
The 71-year-old music legend brought her 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour' to London on Tuesday night (11.02.25), and had many treats in store for fans, including bringing out the Culture Club star, 63, for a show-stopping rendition of 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' at the end, in a meeting of two '80s icons.
The show was mesmerising visually and sonically; while performing her cover of 'I Drove All Night', visuals of cars were projected onto her dress.
Visuals wise, Lauper included art by the likes of Yayoi Kusama and Daniel Wurtzel.
Wurtzel's Air Fountain installation - which has featured at the Tate Modern and the closing ceremony for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games - was among the living art pieces used during Lauper's performance of 'True Colors'
In true Lauper style, the musician provided some high-drama and kooky moments, too, including her opening of 'She Bop', for which she played a recorder solo.
And while performing a cover of Mardi Gras' 'Iko Iko', she ascended out of a trapdoor in a dress by Christian Siriano, featuring a striking chestplate, prompting Lauper to reference the designer's famous quote: “The gays want glamour!”
