Fred West: Charley Pride
The British killer – who committed at least 12 murders with his wife Rose West at their House of Horrors in Gloucestershire between 1967 and 1987 – was said to be a fan of the US country singer Charley Pride, who had hits with (I'm So) Afraid of Losing You Again and I Can't Believe That You've Stopped Loving Me.
As for Rose, she was raised listening to her father's favourite artists Elvis Presley and Bill Haley and was a lover of 1950s crooner Jimmy Young – who later enjoyed a successful career as a DJ on BBC Radio 2.
