John Lennon, The Last Dinner Party and more set for mega 2026 Secret 7 inch vinyl record auction for War Child
War Child’s iconic Secret 7” auction is back for its tenth edition with rare vinyl from music legends and rising stars to raise money for children affected by war
War Child has unveiled the tenth edition of its Secret 7” auction for 2026, with John Lennon, The Last Dinner Party, Gabrielle, The Maccabees, Skin, Glass Animals and Bastille all donating tracks to the charity’s limited‑edition vinyl project.
Each of the seven songs will be pressed just 100 times, creating 700 unique records, each paired with a one‑of‑a‑kind sleeve designed by artists and creatives worldwide.
Lennon contributes Out the Blue, alongside hits including Gabrielle’s Out of Reach, The Maccabees’ No Kind Words, Glass Animals’ Take a Slice and Bastille’s Hope For The Future.
The Last Dinner Party included Let’s Do It Again! from the recently released War Child HELP(2) album.
Artists can submit sleeve designs until 1 June 2026, with past editions featuring work from major names such as Ai Weiwei, Yoko Ono and Es Devlin.
All 700 sleeves will be exhibited at 180 Studios, London, from 18–30 August, with an online auction running until 2 September. Buyers won’t know which track or artist they’ve secured until the record arrives, keeping the project’s trademark mystery intact.
Secret 7” has already raised more than £900,000 for War Child, which supports children with emergency aid, mental‑health care and protection in conflict zones.
Fundraising director Charlotte Nimmo said the need for support is “greater than ever”, with more than 520 million children affected by war worldwide.
