Ed Sheeran support act AFTERDRIVE unveil brooding new single Fashion
Pop rock group AFTERDRIVE have served up another banger ahead of their London headline show next month.
AFTERDRIVE have shared the brooding new single, Fashion — a track that dives headfirst into the messy, magnetic chaos of modern romance.
The song arrives today alongside a moody visual directed and produced by Milc Creative.
The rising Ipswich outfit have been steadily building momentum, and Fashion feels like a statement moment. Uptempo but shadowed by emotional unease, the track blends sharp guitar work with contemporary synth textures, all anchored by frontman Ben Watts’ cool, unflinching vocal delivery.
It’s a sound that pushes them beyond the confines of a typical guitar band, leaning into something sleeker and more forward‑thinking.
Lyrically, Fashion captures the rush of being drawn to someone who’s thrilling, volatile, and impossible to resist — even when every instinct says to run. Beneath the adrenaline, the song cuts into something colder: the hollow disconnect of relationships shaped by image, impulse, and the fleeting nature of online connection.
Produced and mixed by Thomas Mitchener, it’s a track steeped in tension, late‑night impulsivity, and the uncomfortable truth of wanting closeness while feeling emotionally miles apart.
The release marks the start of a packed few months for AFTERDRIVE. February saw them hit the road with The Entitled Sons, and this spring they’ll join US star Maggie Lindemann on her UK and EU tour, kicking off in Dublin on April 14. A special hometown warm‑up show in Ipswich is also on the horizon.
Their live reputation is growing fast — their recent sold‑out headline at The Waterfront Studio in Norwich in January ended with fans crowding the band for signings and meet‑and‑greets, and Fashion made its live debut to an ecstatic room.
Next up, they’ll celebrate the single with a headline show at The Social in London on March 9.
It follows a landmark year for the band, which included supporting Ed Sheeran at his Portman Road stadium show and releasing their previous single Necklace in November.
