Nicki Minaj has thrilled fans by teasing what appears to be a release date for her next album.
Nicki Minaj has sparked speculation about a new album after posting the date May 27, 2026 on social media.
The rapper sent her Barbz into a frenzy by taking to X to post the date alongside a CD emoji on Wednesday (24.09.25).
She simply posted on X: “3.27.26 [CD emoji]"
The post marked Minaj’s first social media activity in over a month.
Minaj has a hard act to follow after her fifth album, Pink Friday 2, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in December 2023. That release made Minaj the first female rapper to achieve three No. 1 albums in the United States.
No official confirmation has been issued regarding the meaning of the date, and no further details - such as a title, tracklist, or collaborators - have been announced. However, the timing aligns with previous comments from Minaj in late 2024, when she hinted at new music and a tour rollout in late 2025 and early 2026.
If the March 27, 2026 date refers to an album release, it would arrive more than two years after Pink Friday 2.
