Bubbles leaves Neverland

Bubbles lived at Neverland for many years and all the Jackson family - including Michael's father Joe (pictured) - were close to him.

But, by the early 2000s, as is common with mature chimps, Bubbles became too aggressive and "pugnacious," posing a danger to others, particularly after Jackson had his own children.

In 2003, Bubbles left the Neverland Ranch and was placed with trainer Bob Dunn in California, before officially retiring to the Center for Great Apes in Wauchula, Florida, in 2004.
