Film career: Shia LaBeouf began his performing career as a comedian at the age of 10. After procuring an agent, he landed a part in the Disney Channel's 'Even Stevens', for which he later one an Emmy. In 2003 he appeared in 'Holes' and landed his next major role in 2005's 'Constantine' opposite Keanu Reeves. In 2007, he appeared in the thriller 'Disturbia' before landing the role of Sam Witwicky in 2008's 'Transformers'. The movie was soon followed up by sequels 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' and 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon'. Personal life: Shia LaBeouf was brough up in LA to parents Shayna, a dancer and fashion designer, and Jeffrey, a former soldier who struggled with drug and alcohol addictions. They later divorced and Shia was exposed to increasing financial difficulties. He was raised both Jewish and Christian, having had a Bar Mitzvah and a baptism. He went to 32nd Street Visual and Performing Arts Magnet as well as Alexander Hamilton High School. He had a relationship with China Brezner between 2004 and 2007, and later Carey Mulligan from 2009 to 2010. He also admitted having dated Isabel Lucas and Megan Fox while they were both in relationships already. LaBeouf has had various brushes with the law. He was arrested in 2005 sfter an altercation with his neighbour whereby he rammed into his car and threatened him with a knife when he wouldn't let Shia access his garage, He was arrested again for trespassing in 2007 when he refused to leave a Chicago Walgreens. The following year he was fined $500 after failing to attend court for smoking illegally in Burbank, California. That year he was also arrested for drink driving when he crashed into a truck and crushed his hand. His license was suspended, though the incident itself was confirmed as not his fault. His hand required extensive surgery following the accident. In 2014, he was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after perpetually shouting and swearing during a performance at Studio 54 theater in New York. In 2013 he was accused of plagiarism when he released the short 'Howard Cantour.com'. Bloggers pointed out the similarities to Dan Clowes 2007 comic 'Justin M. Damiano'. He later apologised with apparently plagiarized apologies. Following these reports, he arrived at the premiere of 'Nymphomaniac' wearing a brown paper bag on his head with the words 'I am not famous anymore'. The stunt was later repeated as part of an exhibition at an LA gallery entitled #IAMSORRY where he greeted visitors one by one in a room, though he said nothing and sat still the entire time. Visitors were invited to select an object on offer outside and take it in with them. That year he claimed he was raped by a woman during the exhibition, though no-one has been able to track down the perpetrator.
