Harry Styles reveals first wave of Meltdown festival lineup including Warpaint and James Murphy
Harry Styles has unveiled the first acts for his Meltdown festival, with more announcements — including his own headline show — still to come.
Harry Styles has revealed the first names for this year’s Meltdown festival at London’s Southbank Centre.
Warpaint will open the event on June 11, with Stephen Fretwell, Nilüfer Yanya, Orlando Weeks, Bar Italia, Dev Hynes, Jon Hopkins, Getdown Services and LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy — who will close the festival on June 21 — all confirmed.
Further line‑up details are expected soon, including on‑sale information for Styles’ own headline show at the Royal Festival Hall.
The Southbank Centre is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, and Styles said he was honoured to curate the milestone edition of the festival.
He said in a statement: “I’m deeply honoured to curate the Meltdown festival, especially for the Southbank Centre’s 75th anniversary year. My goal as the curator is to share the music and art that I love, and to celebrate the rich history of the venue.”
The 32‑year‑old pop star added: “It brings us together and the Southbank Centre has been at the heart of it, providing easy access to great music for the past 75 years. I’m incredibly grateful to Southbank for having me, it’s really exciting for me to have this opportunity in such an iconic venue.”
