David Bowie's The D.A.M. Trilogy "feel obliged" to reform for fans.

The 'Heroes' icon - who died aged 69 in January 2016 after a battle with liver cancer - had right-hand-musicians during his late 1970s Berlin period and now the band is touring for the first time in five decades to honour their work together, as well as Bowie’s enduring legacy.

'The D.A.M. Trilogy Back to Berlin Tour' will see 73-year-old guitarist Carlos Alomar, who recorded with Bowie across 11 albums, and original 'Heroes' bassist George Murray on the 16-date tour - which kicks off in the German capital’s Metropol Concert Hall on November 7, 2025.

Seeing this tour as a way to give back to the community that has supported them for decades, Alomar explained the motivation to tour almost a decade after Bowie’s death, saying: “The fans we’ve met along the way are the ones who have driven this. We feel obliged to do it because they’ve waited so long for us to return to these songs. This could very well be our last spin of Europe.

“Where other bands have toured Bowie’s songs extensively since his passing, these songs haven’t been performed the way they were meant to be. Until now.

“The Spiders from Mars are well known, but the D.A.M. trio remains rock and roll’s best-kept secret. It’s time to honour our legacy."

The band will then move on to perform in the UK and Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Belgium and France.

Alomar and Murray - who last performed together at the David Bowie World Fan Convention in New York in June 2023 for the first time since the last appearance with Bowie as a trio on 'Saturday Night Live' in 1979 - vow to perform arrangements from the three albums recorded in Berlin – 'Low', 'Heroes' and 'Lodger'.

As drummer Dennis Davis also died of cancer in 2016, the D.AM Trilogy band includes four additional musicians, including Tin Machine and Bowie’s 'Live Aid' guitarist Kevin Armstrong.

Bowie’s vocals are being sung by New York-based singer Cuni, and the band brought together by Alomar also includes 62-year-old drummer Tal Bergman (Chaka Khan, Joe Bonamassa, LL Cool J) 40-year-old pianist Axel Tosca (George Clinton, Robert Glasper, Louie Vega) on keys and synths and 47-year-old singer-songwriter Lea Lorien (Scissor Sisters, David Morales) providing backing vocals.

Tickets go on general sale here on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 10am.
