Ryan Tedder brands BTS’ new album 'one of the craziest things I've worked on'
Ryan Tedder says BTS "blew me away" with their talents while working on their new album ARIRANG.
Ryan Tedder has teased just how ambitious BTS’ upcoming album ARIRANG really is, calling the project “one of the craziest things” he has ever worked on.
The hitmaker — known for writing for BLACKPINK, TXT and for collaborating with Jimin on his 2024 solo track Be Mine — spoke about the experience during his opening set at the group’s From Asia, With Love concert at Jamsil Arena in Seoul on Monday (23.02.26).
He told the audience: “Most recently, I did a lot of work on the upcoming BTS album.
“It absolutely blew me away how talented they were, and I think it’s honestly one of the craziest things I’ve worked on in my whole career. I know you’re going to love it.”
Ryan's comments echo producer Diplo, who previously described ARIRANG as a world‑shaking release.
Speaking to TMZ earlier this month, Diplo said he felt “lucky” to be involved, adding that the album is “gonna shock the world” and calling it the “craziest album ever.”
He also singled out Jung Kook’s vocals, saying the singer needed “no autotune” and had a “perfect voice.”
ARIRANG, out March 20, marks BTS’ first group release in more than three years and follows the completion of all seven members’ mandatory military service. The album takes its name from the traditional Korean folk song “Arirang,” long associated with themes of longing, separation and reunion.
According to the group’s team, the new record sees BTS drawing deeply on their heritage and lived experiences, exploring the emotional threads — love, yearning and personal growth — that have defined their music while reconnecting with their roots in Korea.
