KPop Demon Hunters star Ji-young Yoo hounded with ideas for sequel
Ji-young Yoo doesn't respond when she receives messages with ideas for a KPop Demon Hunters sequel.
KPop Demon Hunters star Ji-young Yoo "chuckles" when fans slide into her DMs with their requests for a sequel.
The 26‑year‑old actress voices HUNTR/X member Zoey in the animated blockbuster, and while she won’t have any influence over the storyline if a sequel happens, that hasn’t stopped fans from flooding her inbox with their ideas
She told E! News: “I think the funny ones are when they give me notes on what should be in the next movie.
“I have so little control over any of that. Those ones give me a chuckle.”
Quizzed on how she responds, she said: “No, there’s no use in responding.”
It's not the strangest request she has faced since starring in the film. Ji-young recently revealed she was asked for an autograph while at the hospital receiving treatment for a back issue.
The 26‑year‑old American actress revealed the most unusual place a fan has ever asked her to sign an autograph.
Speaking to the same outlet in a recent interview, she said: "I would say the weirdest place I've been asked for a signature is in the hospital."
Reassuring fans about her hospital visit, she said: "I hurt my back. I'm totally fine."
Meanwhile, her co-star, Arden Cho, who is the voice behind HUNTR/X's member Rumi, revealed she would love to see the fictional girl group collaborate with K-pop giants BTS.
She said: "I don't know why automatically I was like BTS, only because they're having a comeback. Also because, you know, I'm a fan."
On the topic of KPop Demon Hunters and medical appointments, EJAE, who provided the singing vocals for Rumi, previously revealed she composed HUNTR/X hit Golden on the way to the dentist.
She told Variety: “I actually wrote the melody on my way to the dentist.”
Golden was just crowned Best Song Written for Visual Media at the Grammy Awards, making history as the first K-pop track to ever win at the prestigious bash.
