Zayn Malik offered a first look at his next solo chapter in Sin City, debuting new songs and confirming his new album is dropping "pretty soon".

The former One Direction star opened his residency at Las Vegas’ Dolby Live on Tuesday (20.01.26) with an unreleased song, the title of which he did not reveal. According to Variety, the track "had a soft energy to it that, in its chorus, felt almost referential to R'n'B sensibilities on his debut, Mind of Mine.”

Zayn then delivered a major surprise by performing She, a deep cut from Mind of Mine that had never been played live before.

Addressing the audience early in the set, Zayn teased: “I’ve been in the studio a little bit.

“I got a new record coming for you guys pretty soon. I’m really excited about that… I’ll be playing some songs tonight for the first time. For you guys.”

Across the performance, Zayn debuted a handful of tracks from his forthcoming fifth studio album, offering a first look at the project.

Other new songs performed for the first time included Used to the Blues and Fatal, the latter of which saw Zayn incorporate Urdu into the track in a nod to his roots.

He also premiered what appears to be the emotionally charged lead single, Die for Me.

The singer - who entered the K-pop sphere with his Jisoo collaboration Eyes Closed in 2025 - previously suggested that his next record will be similar to 2016 chart-topper Mind of Mine.

As quoted by The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column, he said during a livestream: "The next album is soon.

"I have been working on some cool s*** in South Asian music and bringing those influences into my music as well.

"It is like pop, R'n'B, and a lot of Indian influences. The record is like a continuation of Mind of Mine in that sense. I might have some songs coming out in Urdu, too."
