Lana Del Rey might have penned a Bond theme for 007: First Light
Lana Del Rey fans believe the pop star might have recorded a song for the upcoming 007: First Light video game.

Lana Del Rey might have penned a Bond theme for the new 007: First Light video game.
Eagle-eyed fans have spotted that the Video Games hitmaker has registered a new track called First Light with the American Society Of Composers, Authors And Publishers.
The 40-year-old pop star has been linked to the money-spinning franchise before, having previously revealed the song she penned for the 2015 Bond film Spectre was rejected.
Lana explained that she submitted the track 24 from her 2015 LP Honeymoon for the Daniel Craig-led flick, but they ultimately went with Sam Smith's Writing's On The Wall.
Asked by the BBC at The Ivors 2024 why she hasn't done a Bond theme yet, she spilled: “I mean, how has that not happened?”
Speaking of the song she offered, she simply said: “I wrote that for them."
Only time will tell, with 007: First Light due for release on March 27, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
The title's combat and tone is heavily inspired by the Daniel Craig era of James Bond films.
Studio IO Interactive revealed that the game’s action is designed to reflect the hand-to-hand intensity and improvisational feel of Craig’s Bond films, like Casino Royale and Skyfall.
The action-adventure, revealed during Sony’s State of Play earlier this year, follows a 26-year-old Royal Navy airman whose bravery earns him recruitment into MI6 and the newly revived 00 Section.
Dexter: Original Sin actor Patrick Gibson is First Light's Bond.
