Taylor Swift has released eight acoustic bonus tracks from The Life of a Showgirl across four limited CDs.

A day after dropping her 12th studio album on Friday (03.10.25), the 35-year-old Grammy winner surprised fans by announcing that she was releasing "Four limited CD releases each including two acoustic bonus tracks on my site now for 24 hours while supplies last."

She shared to Instagram: “File this under ‘save your best for the finale'.

“I think my favorite moments from the tour were the acoustic surprises. So I went back into the studio with Max and Shellback to record acoustic/unplugged versions of a few of the Showgirl songs with brand new vocals and production! Cannot WAIT for you to hear.”

The unplugged songs include: Life Is A Song Acoustic Version with Opalite (Life Is A Song Acoustic Version), Ruin the Friendship (My Advice Version), Dressing Room Rehearsal Version with Wi$h Li$t (Settled Down Acoustic Version) and The Life of a Showgirl (Dressing Room Rehearsal Acoustic Version), Alone In My Tower Acoustic Version with The Fate of Ophelia (Alone In My Tower Acoustic Version) and Eldest Daughter (Now You’re Home Acoustic Version), and So Glamorous Cabaret Version with Elizabeth Taylor (So Glamorous Cabaret Version) and Elizabeth Taylor (Original Songwriting Voice Memo).

The CDs were swiftly snapped up by fans while stock lasted, and Taylor didn't say if the acoustic recordings will make it to streaming services.

The Life of a Showgirl has broken several records since its release.

Within just 24 hours, the album sold 2.7 million copies in the US alone — the biggest single-day sales of Taylor’s career and the second-highest opening week tally since Luminate began tracking in 1991, trailing only Adele’s 25. It also broke Spotify’s all-time record for most-streamed album in a single day, while lead single The Fate of Ophelia became the most-streamed song in a single day in the platform’s history. On vinyl, Taylor set a new benchmark by selling 1.2 million copies in one week, surpassing her own previous record from The Tortured Poets Department.
