Papa Roach’s UK tour raised an impressive £20,000 for suicide prevention charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).

The 'Last Resort' rockers donated £1 from each ticket sold for the 'Rise Of The Roach Tour' to the important cause and were presented with a huge cheque before their headline set at the OVO Arena Wembley on February 7.

CALM CEO Simon Gunning commented: “We can’t thank Papa Roach – and every single person who bought a ticket – enough for their support.

“Not only have the band raised vital funds for our life-saving work, but they’ve started a conversation on a global scale about suicide prevention. When we bring these conversations out of the shadows and into the light, we break down the stigma that surrounds it, and that really does save lives.

“Thanks to Papa Roach and all the fans for leaving that light on.”

Frontman Jacoby Shaddix said: “The kick-off to the Rise Of The Roach Tour has been incredible.

“CALM, along with every audience from each tour stop, is now part of our mission to Leave A Light On for those who may need help.”

It's a cause close to home for the singer, who battled suicidal thoughts in the past when he was going through addiction issues and split from his wife.

He said in 2012 about the nu-metal legends' album 'The Connection', which saw him pen raw songs about the dark period in his life: "There was a moment in the record where I was suicidal.

I was done. I'm like, 'I'm over this. I can't do this anymore. I can't take this pain anymore. Like, I feel so alone and broken and just shattered.'

"Like, everything that I had worked for in my life and said that I wasn't going to be, I don't want to be like my father — what happens? I'm like this drunk, (mess)-up that destroyed his family. I did it. I'm sitting there like, 'I did everything I said I'd never do.'"
