It's the first time that the disgraced former 'Top Gear' presenter has appeared on the BBC since he was let go back in March.
Jeremy Clarkson has made his first appearance on the BBC since he was sacked from ‘Top Gear’ nearly seven months ago, hosting the satirical panel show ‘Have I Got News From You’ – and, as you might have expected, he was roundly mocked by regulars Paul Merton and Ian Hislop.
The episode was filmed on Thursday and is due to air tonight (Friday October 2nd), and resembles the one-sided panning administered to ‘HIGNFY’s former permanent presenter Angus Deayton way back in 2002. It’s the first time that Clarkson has made any appearance on the Beeb’s television stations since the infamous “fracas” with one of ‘Top Gear’s producers back in March.

The former 'Top Gear' presenter reportedly WILL be guest presenting the weekly satirical news quiz on the BBC later this month.
The disgraced former ‘Top Gear’ presenter Jeremy Clarkson may be about to make a sensational return to BBC screens later this month as a guest presenter of ‘Have I Got News For You’.
British newspaper The Mirror reports that BBC chiefs have eventually decided to allow Clarkson to be the guest host on the April 24th episode, less than a month after the decision was taken to sack him from the motoring show. A spokeswoman for the corporation stated: “Jeremy’s contract has not been renewed on ‘Top Gear’ but he isn’t banned from appearing on the BBC.”

Michael Palin's return to dramatic television represents a considerable coup for the BBC.
Michael Palin will make his first television acting appearance in over two decades when he lines up alongside Ben Chaplin, Emilia Fox and Steve Oram in BBC Two's World War 1 drama The Wiper Times. The drama is based on the true story of a satirical newspaper produced by soldiers in the trenches.
Michael Palin Will Make His First Dramatic Television Role For 22 Years
The project appears in good hands, with Private Eye editor and Have I Got News For You captain Ian Hislop teaming up with his My Dad's The Prime Minister writing partner Nick Newman on the script. Clearly, Palin is the real coup here and it represents the Monty Python star's first television role since Alan Bleasdale's GBH in 1991, in which he played a school headmaster intimidated by a newly-elected city council leader, played by Robert Lindsay.
