Title: "Up Your Speed"
Artist: Sway
Release date: 26.09.05
Sway continues to accelerate further ahead of the pack with his new single. 'Up Your Speed' pops the bonnet to showcase Sway's undeniable performance as both rapper and producer, further illustrating just why he's been sending shockwaves racing through the underground. Sway's right hand man Pyrelli makes a gripping guest appearance, and an all-new turbo charged mix of 'Up Your Speed', which is exclusive to the single release, features the additional vocal horsepower of hip-hop legend SkinnyMan and the unique vocal engine note of rapidly up and coming grime emcee Bruza.
Sway [aka Sway DaSafo] is widely tipped and now in pole position for world domination with his massively proactive, single-minded and driven approach. Sway remains an independent and unsigned artist, and single-handedly set up his self-run production company and label, Dcypha, to release his first three records: 'This Is My Promo, Volume 1', 'This Is My Promo, Volume 2', and 'This Is My Demo'. The aim of this hat-trick of releases is to express and establish himself as an artist independently. Volume 1 and Volume 2 are compiled in a traditional hip-hop mixtape style. However, the now much anticipated 'This Is My Demo' will be a fully polished, waxed, and race-prepared album of material which will form the centrepiece of the trilogy. 'This Is My Demo' is set for release on 30th January 2006 and will be preceded by further single releases.
Keeping up the high tempo pace Sway has also been nominated for 2 Mobo Awards: 'Best UK Newcomer' and 'Best Hip-hop Artist'; as well as a Channel U 'Best Of British' award.
As well as masterminding all of the above, Sway has also found time to tour with Dizzee Rascal, make an appearance on Eminem's radio show; and, to bring his inimitable style to a raft of releases as a guest artist, including Terri Walker's 'Whoopsie Daisy', and Taz's 'Cowboy Film' remix. More recently Sway was personally approached by Mike Skinner to guest alongside himself and his protégées on the Mitchell Brothers 'Harvey Nicks' track, and has also been in the studio with Mark Ronson.
