Elvis Costello and The Imposters announce 2026 UK dates performing early hits
Elvis Costello and The Imposters with Charlie Sexton are touring the UK next summer.
Elvis Costello and The Imposters, joined by guitarist Charlie Sexton, have confirmed that their acclaimed Radio Soul!: The Early Songs of Elvis Costello tour will arrive in the UK in summer 2026.
The production, which has already enjoyed two celebrated runs across the pond, will spotlight material from Costello’s formative years. Fans can expect a setlist spanning from his 1977 debut My Aim Is True through to 1986’s Blood and Chocolate, alongside a few surprises. This era produced some of Costello’s most enduring tracks, including Watching The Detectives, I Want You, Alison, Man Out Of Time, and Brilliant Mistake - songs that have remained staples in The Imposters’ live repertoire for decades.
Reflecting on the tour, Costello explained: “For any songwriter, it has to be a compliment if people want to hear songs written up to fifty years ago. Among them, ‘Radio Soul,’ the first draft of what eventually became ‘Radio Radio.’ You can expect the unexpected and the faithful in equal measure. Don’t forget this show is performed by Elvis Costello & The Imposters—an ensemble which includes three people who first recorded this music and two more who bring something entirely new. They are nobody’s tribute band. The Imposters are a living, breathing, swooning, swinging, kicking and screaming rock and roll band who can turn their hands to a pretty ballad when the opportunity arises.”
The UK leg will open at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall on Saturday, June 13, before moving on to Portsmouth and Newcastle. The run concludes with a special performance at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall on Monday, June 15.
Ticket pre‑sales begin Wednesday, December 10, with general release available from 10am GMT on Friday, December 12.
The band will also play a series of dates supporting Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts in June and July.
