Garbage announce Edinburgh Castle headline show for 2026
Garbage are set to headline the Edinburgh Castle Concert Series next summer.
Garbage have been confirmed as the final headliner in the 2026 Edinburgh Castle Concert Series, with the Scottish‑American rock band set to take the stage at the historic venue on July 11.
Formed in Madison, Wisconsin in 1993, Garbage — comprising Shirley Manson, Butch Vig, Duke Erikson and Steve Marker — have sold millions of records worldwide and remain one of the most influential alternative acts of the past three decades. Their catalogue includes landmark singles such as Queer, Only Happy When It Rains, Stupid Girl, and the James Bond theme The World Is Not Enough.
Earlier this year, the band released their eighth studio album Let All That We Imagine Be The Light, which drew widespread acclaim and was hailed by some critics as their strongest work since their debut.
The Edinburgh Castle performance will mark a poignant homecoming for frontwoman Shirley Manson, who described the show as “both triumphant and deeply meaningful,” adding: “To be asked to grace the stage with Edinburgh Castle as our backdrop will be, without doubt, one of the greatest honours of my professional career.”
The concert forms part of Garbage’s year‑long return to live performance, following extensive touring across North America, New Zealand and Australia, with further UK dates scheduled throughout 2026.
Tickets for the Edinburgh Castle show go on sale Friday (05.12.25) via Ticketmaster.co.uk at 10am, with premium hospitality packages available through Seatunique.com.
Garbage recently announced a joint tour with Skunk Anansie next year. Head here to check out the tour dates.
