Jungkook has apologised for comments he made during a Weverse livestream earlier this year.

The BTS vocalist opened a new broadcast on Wednesday (08.04.26) to say he wanted to speak to ARMY - their fanbase - about the situation.

The earlier livestream, held on February 26, and lasting nearly an hour and a half, featured Jungkook chatting casually while drinking with others.

During the session — which is no longer available on the platform — he mentioned BTS’ latest release ARIRANG, and that he had smoked in the past.

He also voiced irritation about feeling restricted in what he could say publicly.

Looking back on the broadcast, Jungkook told viewers on Wednesday (08.04.26): “I’m actually not sure what I did that was so wrong during my [February] livestream. I’m not a public figure, and people on YouTube or in the industry all say similar stuff.”

He added that he was concerned some fans may have been unsettled by his tone.

He said: “I haven’t shown that side of myself, so I thought that I might have made some ARMYs uncomfortable. For that, I would like to apologise to ARMYs who were inconvenienced by [cursing], and I will refrain from doing so in the future.”

Jungkook also made it clear that he did not intend to engage with people criticising him purely out of negativity, saying he wanted to speak honestly without feeding into hostility.

He closed by acknowledging that he is still human, saying: “While I won’t be committing crimes or doing something really bad, I can sometimes be like that, as a human being.”
