Niall Horan to release new solo song Dinner Party this month
Niall Horan has unveiled his next solo single, Dinner Party, which is inspired by a life-changing moment.
Niall Horan will drop his brand-new single Dinner Party on March 20.
After months of teasing fans, the former One Direction star has officially announced a release date for his first new solo release since his 2023 LP The Show.
It's inspired by a dinner party that "changed the course of my life".
He penned on X: "i’m so happy and excited to tell you my new single ‘dinner party‘ is coming out march 20. presave it now at niallhoran.com this song is about a really happy and big moment in my life. an evening at a simple dinner party that changed the course of my life. after writing the song , the words ‘dinner party‘ became the nucleus for the rest of the record. that once in a lifetime moment that I am grateful for and for everything that came after that night.(sic)"
The new single comes after he confirmed he had completed his next album and released Drive Safe with Myles Smith.
He posted to X alongside some behind-the-scenes clips and photographs from his recording days: "Album is DONE."
Appearing on Zoom during the Hits Radio Breakfast Show with Fleur East, Will Best and James Barr recently, he provided the following update: "I'm in here finishing it right now. So I'm in the beat lab!
"I'm just finishing off some vocal bits and things like that, that I wasn't happy with, but yeah!
"I should have music sometime this year. And I'm very excited about it!"
Niall's first solo LP, Flicker, dropped in 2017 and reached number three in the UK, before he topped the charts with 2020's Heartbreak Weather and 2023's The Show.
