Leigh-Anne drops debut solo album My Ego Told Me To
Leigh-Anne has served up her debut solo album, traversing pop, R'n'B, dancehall and reggae.
Leigh-Anne has officially launched her long‑awaited debut solo album, My Ego Told Me To.
Released independently through her own label, Made In The 90s Ltd, the project marks a major new chapter for the former Little Mix star, who steps out with a record that reflects complete creative control and a sound shaped entirely on her own terms.
The album sees Leigh-Anne embracing a mix of pop, R'n'B, dancehall and reggae, drawing heavily from her Caribbean roots.
She worked alongside an impressive list of collaborators, including Clarence “Coffee” Jr. (Dua Lipa, Beyoncé), Owen Cutts (Stormzy), Khris Riddick (SZA, Kehlani) and Fred Ball (Rihanna). Across 15 tracks, she explores identity, independence and personal evolution, blending polished production with a raw, emotional core.
The record features previously released singles Been A Minute, Burning Up, Dead and Gone and Most Wanted, the latter created with Jamaican hitmaker Rvssian and rising star Valiant. New tracks such as Goodbye Goodmorning and Heaven — which includes vocals from her daughters — add further depth to the album’s narrative of self‑discovery and empowerment.
Speaking about the project, Leigh-Anne described it as the most honest work she has ever made.
She said: “This album is the truest representation of me as an artist.
“It’s rooted in my heritage, stamped with pop, and impossible to box in. You’ll hear my world in it — my daughters, my marriage, my fight for power, and the moment I finally said: no more. This is my show now.”
To celebrate the release, Leigh-Anne begins a UK record‑store tour today (20.02.26), offering intimate performances and signings in cities including Edinburgh, Liverpool, Leeds, London and Nottingham.
She will then hit the road this spring for her first solo headline run, the My Ego Told Me To Tour. The UK and Ireland dates begin April 6 at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre, followed by shows in Glasgow, Manchester and Bristol, before a London performance at the O2 Kentish Town Forum. The European leg includes stops in the Netherlands, France and Germany, with several venues already upgraded due to demand.
My Ego Told Me To is out now on all major platforms.
