Kate Nash unleashes GERM Remix EP featuring Peaches, Bimini, charlieeeee and Jaguar
Kate Nash's protest anthem GERM has been transformed into club bangers on the Remix EP.
Kate Nash has dropped a fiery new remix EP for her 2025 protest anthem GERM.
The Foundations singer recruited a lineup of queer collaborators and rising LGBTQ+ talent to re-imagine the urgent spoken-word pop punk anthem.
GERM — an acronym for Girl, Exclusionary, Regressive, Misogynist — was first released in response to the UK Supreme Court’s controversial 2025 ruling on the legal definition of woman. The track quickly became a rallying cry for trans inclusion and allyship, with Nash using her platform to challenge narratives that marginalise trans voices within feminist discourse.
Now, the remix EP brings fresh fire to the message. Electro-clash icon Peaches delivers a blistering rework, while drag superstar Bimini adds new verses to a punk-infused big-beat version. Drum ‘n’ bass newcomer charlieeeee injects high-octane chaos, and Jaguar’s remix channels the spirit of UK club culture with a polished, floor-filling twist.
Nash declared: “I want to hear GERM blasting in clubs this winter.
“We need warm, banging anthems to carry us through the cold and the rise in fascism.”
Reflecting on the collaborators, Nash shared her long-standing admiration for Peaches, recalling their first meeting in Paris during a studio session with Gonzales.
She gushed: “She’s still one of my biggest inspirations.
“I was honoured to have her involved.”
Bimini’s remix came about through a passionate Instagram DM, while Nash personally tapped charlieeeee and Jaguar - who she describes as “killing it” with their unique sounds.
She said: “I love how different each remix feels.
“It’s exciting to see GERM enter its nightlife era.”
The EP also includes a stripped-back acoustic version recorded on Inisbofin Island with guitarist BOOMVISION, offering a reflective counterpoint to the high-energy remixes.
The GERM Remix EP is out now.
