Brocarde drops dark new single Pandora's Box

Brocarde opens Pandora’s Box and unleashes pure chaos this Halloween.

The gothic metal maverick returns with her darkly playful, horror-fuelled anthem, released on October 22, a deliciously sarcastic nu-metal explosion infused with a menacing carnival flair.

Known for fusing venomous wit with cinematic energy, Brocarde delivers a twisted fight song that channels fury, frustration, and empowerment into pure theatrical mayhem.

In the striking new video, Brocarde is immortalised as a blood-splattered living doll, dangling on strings at the mercy of a sinister Puppet Master. Filmed inside the labyrinthine scare maze at The Scare City Experience in Lancashire, the visual spectacle transforms Halloween into a full-blown nightmare, turning the spooky season up to eleven.

She said: “Pandora’s Box is essentially a fight song—it’s sarcastic as hell. At its core, it’s about being misunderstood. So often, I feel misrepresented, and this song channels that frustration into something fierce and empowering.

“It’s about perception—how others see you, and how that often conflicts with your truth. In a world driven by social media, we’ve all become clickbait, and things are so easily twisted or misread."

Brocarde continued: “The Puppet master is everyone and no one. It’s that figurehead of control—whoever or whatever that may be. In the video, I’m literally playing into its hands and becoming my own self-fulfilling prophecy. When I first wrote it, it was aimed more specifically at certain people in my life, but over time, it evolved. We all have our own Puppet Masters. We’ve all felt misunderstood. I hope it resonates with people and gives them strength.”

“There’s something powerful about the image of a doll—picture-perfect on the surface, but hauntingly silent underneath. And let’s face it, most dolls are terrifying! There’s a recurring theme in my recent releases around identity. It’s something I’ve struggled with, and still do.”

Brocarde first made headlines worldwide when she married the ghost of a Victorian soldier in an intimate Halloween ceremony at The Asylum Chapel in London on October 31, 2022. Although the marriage ultimately ended in divorce, via exorcism, the haunting experience unlocked her ability to see and communicate with the dead.

Since then, Brocarde has travelled the globe visiting some of the world’s most haunted locations, sharing her chilling encounters on her website brocarde.com. Her psychic abilities have led to collaborations with major global brands. She’s previously gone ghost hunting at Download Festival, conducted a séance for Lemmy at Wacken Open Air, and writes the Terrifying Travels column for British newspaper The Daily Star.

Brocarde’s single Pandora’s Box, produced by Chris Collier (Whitesnake, Korn, Mick Mars), is out now, with her debut album due to follow in 2026.

With Pandora’s Box, Brocarde once again proves that when she opens the door to darkness, she doesn’t just face her demons, she dances with the devil.
