Glastonbury Festival will return to Worthy Farm from Wednesday June 23 to Sunday June 2027, organisers have confirmed.

The announcement follows the decision to pause the event in 2026 for a planned fallow year - a tradition that allows the land, local community, and production teams time to rest and recover.

Held in Somerset, Glastonbury is one of the world’s most celebrated music festivals, known for its eclectic line-ups, sprawling fields, and cultural significance.

The last scheduled fallow year took place in 2018, although the COVID-19 pandemic forced cancellations in 2020 and 2021. Co-organiser Emily Eavis has emphasised the importance of these breaks, describing them as vital for maintaining the festival’s sustainability and spirit.

To mark the countdown to its 2027 return, Glastonbury has launched a charity prize draw offering 25 pairs of tickets ahead of general release. The initiative supports Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), with proceeds going toward emergency medical aid in conflict zones such as Gaza and Sudan. Entries cost £10 and are open until November 7 2026 via Crowdfunder UK.

While official ticket sales are expected to open in late 2026, speculation around the 2027 line-up is already gaining momentum. Industry insiders and fans alike have floated names including Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, Sam Fender, and Little Simz as potential headliners.

The 2025 edition saw standout headline sets from The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo, who brought out special guest Robert Smith of The Cure. Other highlights included Charli XCX, Lorde, Lewis Capaldi, and Sir Rod Stewart, who took the coveted Sunday legends slot.
