Bring Me The Horizon will reissue their 2015 album That’s the Spirit on vinyl to mark its 10th anniversary.

The Sheffield rock band -  made up of vocalist Oli Sykes, 38, guitarist Lee Malia, 41, bassist Matt Kean, 39, and drummer Matt Nicholls, 39 -  have confirmed the re-release will arrive on December 12, featuring several limited edition variants. Formats include a glow-in-the-dark vinyl, a picture disc, and a gatefold sleeve, complete with a 12‑page booklet of album artwork

Originally released in September 2015, That’s the Spirit was the group’s fifth studio album and widely seen as their commercial breakthrough. It charted at number two in the UK and produced major singles including Throne, Drown and Follow You.

The record marked a stylistic shift for the band, moving away from metalcore and towards a more accessible rock sound, helping Bring Me The Horizon gain a wider audience and mainstream recognition.

That’s the Spirit also led to one of the most talked-about moments in awards show history. During the 2016 NME Awards - where Bring Me The Orizon claimed the Innovation Award for the record - frontman Sykes climbed onto Coldplay’s table during a live performance, knocking it over.

At the time, the singer denied that it was aimed at the Clocks band and stated that he simply wanted to liven up the atmosphere.

The new vinyl editions are available for pre-order now via the band’s official store.

Meanwhile, Sykes has hinted at a potential Director’s Cut of the band’s latest album Post Human: Nex Gen, revealing he has 12 unreleased tracks in the vault. However, he admitted that progress has slowed following the birth of his twins in July with his wife, Alissic.

Speaking to NME, he said: “I’ve got so much from the Nex Gen archive that I want the world to hear. I literally phoned my label and management and said, ‘It’s nearly here, I’ve got 12 songs and they’re all bangers.

"They’re so close, we’re going to get the first single out before Rock Am Ring and the second before Reading and Leeds.

“The music will come, but it’s just not the be-all and end-all anymore.

"We’re realising that we don’t have to put another record out; we just put one out. Most bands would go away for two years, have an actual break. You don’t have to do this, but I want to and I enjoy it. If it doesn’t happen, then it doesn’t happen.”
