Demi Lovato has shared a preview of her upcoming dance-pop single Here All Night, marking a return to mainstream pop following her recent rock and punk projects

Demi Lovato has previewed a new dance-pop single, Here All Night, signaling a continued return to mainstream pop music following her August release Fast.
The teaser, shared on September 4 via TikTok, features Lovato performing a portion of the unreleased track over an electronic beat, marking a shift back to a more upbeat sound after her recent rock and punk projects.
The teaser video features Lovato performing the chorus, dressed in fishnet tights and a sparkly black outfit. The lyrics convey themes of emotional resilience: “Sweating on the dance floor under the lights to get over you, I’ll be here all night.”
This latest release follows a period of stylistic exploration for Lovato. Their 2021 album Dancing With the Devil... the Art of Starting Over leaned heavily into rock, followed by a punk rock direction on 2022’s Holy Fvck. Lovato also released Revamped, an album of reimagined rock versions of previous hits.
Alongside her music, Lovato - who uses both she/her and they/them pronouns - has been reconnecting with fans by revisiting iconic moments from their career.
In August, the 33-year-old star reunited with the Jonas Brothers for a special performance, performing memorable Camp Rock tracks.
The reunion occurred during the Jonas Brothers’ JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown tour at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on August 10.
Lovato joined Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas on stage to perform This Is Me and Wouldn’t Change a Thing, songs from the 2008 Disney Channel movie Camp Rock. The performance marked the first time the songs had been performed live in nearly a decade.
Lovato expressed gratitude for the opportunity, captioning an Instagram video of the performance: “Thanks for having me @jonasbrothers,” accompanied by a heart hands emoji.
Demi later described how she found it "really healing" to perform alongside the Jonas Brothers.
The Cool for the Summer singer told the Chicks in the Office podcast: "[Joe] was like, 'Hey, what are you doing next weekend on the 10th? We would love to have you come and perform This Is Me and Wouldn’t Change a Thing. You’ve been a huge part of our journey and … this show is really important to us and we would love to have you there.
"It was so nice. We’ve been through so much together, all of us, the Jonas Brothers and I, and it was really, really great to spend time with them."
Industry reports indicate the new album will maintain a dance-pop focus, marking Lovato’s clear return to the sound that launched their mainstream career.
The full release date for Here All Night and the accompanying album has not yet been announced.
