ATEEZ’s Yunho wants to put an EDM spin on bandmate Hongjoong’s solo track
ATEEZ’s Yunho has his sights set on the DJ booth and wants to drop an EDM remix of Hongjoong’s solo single.

K-pop star Yunho has revealed he’s itching to give a high-energy EDM twist to his bandmate Hongjoong's solo track.
The 26-year-old singer, dancer, and member of chart-topping boyband ATEEZ -made up of Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho - says he’d love to rework leader Hongjoong’s solo song NO1 into a dancefloor-ready banger, adding his own signature spin.
Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Yunho said: “I love Hongjoong’s NO.1 If I were to switch songs with Hongjoong, I’d want to try it with an EDM style, my own way.”
Hongjoong replied: "I will teach him [to DJ]."
ATEEZ, an eight-member K-pop group known for their dynamic performances, have been making waves since their 2018 debut under KQ Entertainment. The group recently released their first English single, In Your Fantasy, and are currently touring the US, including sold-out shows at LA's BMO Stadium.
The group has also been showcasing their individual talents with solo tracks on their latest album GOLDEN HOUR: Part.3 ‘In Your Fantasy Edition’, a move driven by their growing confidence and unique artistic visions.
San said: “If I have a solo song, I wanted our fans to be first to see it. It really means a lot to us.”
Hongjoong added: “These days when we are on stage, our performance and stage abilities are higher than before. Everyone has different interests in genres and stage expression. That’s why now is the right time — we have to show our individual charm with these new songs.”
Beyond their musical evolution, ATEEZ recently renewed their contracts with KQ Entertainment for another seven years, signaling their commitment to a long future filled with ambition.
Reflecting on the milestone, Seonghwa said: “I’m proud of the members who have been with me for seven years, and I’m really thankful to Atiny [their fanbase] for quietly supporting us all this time. We wouldn’t be where we are without the help of our company staff and many people behind the scenes. Because of that gratitude, we renewed our contract with a strong sense of responsibility. I want to be an artist who inspires excitement for the future while always showing my gratitude.”
Hongjoong added: “We already thought about the contract a few years ago because we don’t doubt our goals, our members, or our company. It wasn’t difficult or hard to decide to renew — everyone chose themselves.”
San concluded: “Individually, I’m happiest when I’m with my bros, and if we’re not ATEEZ, I thought, it was meaningless.”
