BTS have kicked off their new era with a seismic chart takeover.

Their latest single SWIM has surged straight to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, while the group’s fifth studio album ARIRANG makes the K-pop idols the first South Korean act to debut at No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 in the same week.

ARIRANG arrived with record‑breaking force, scoring the biggest debut of the year and the highest first‑week sales in more than a decade.

BTS have become the first act ever to claim the entire top 10 of the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart with songs from a single album. They also dominate the Artist 100, Global 200, Digital Song Sales, World Digital Song Sales, Top Album Sales, and Vinyl Albums rankings, underscoring the scale of their global pull.

The momentum extends far beyond the U.S. ARIRANG opens at No. 1 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart, while multiple tracks make strong debuts on the Singles Chart.

France and Germany also welcome the album at No. 1, reinforcing its status as a worldwide cultural event rather than a regional success story.

Luminate reports that the album enters with 641,000 equivalent units — including a massive 532,000 in pure sales — marking the strongest opening for a male artist this decade.

It also becomes BTS’ seventh album to top the Billboard 200, a milestone that further solidifies their long‑term influence.

Meanwhile, SWIM continues its reign on Spotify’s Global Top Songs chart, showing no signs of slowing down.
